Trudie Ransom

Tri Shop Santa Cruz Owner Trudie Ransom

Trudie Ransom started endurance sports in 2008 with the Santa Cruz Team in Training Run Team. The Nike Women’s Half Marathon being her first ever competitive event in October 2008 and completed this in a personal best of 2hrs and 53 min. She had the time of her life and decided to train for the Honolulu Triathlon just six months later.

Today, Trudie is combining her business experience and International Business degree with her new passion in life – triathlons and endurance events. She founded Tri Shop Santa Cruz in June 2009 to service the local triathlon and stand up paddle community.

Our expertise here is to get you into the right wetsuit, this is not something that can be down out of a catalog. Trudie has worked extensively with the swim wetsuit companies and advises that you set aside at least 45 mins for your professional wetsuit fitting.

We are also excited to announce teaming up with Angulo and develop our Women on Water SUP tours, and raise the sport to a new level here in Santa Cruz! Trudie recommends that you try out as many SUP boards as possible as often your experience will change before you settle on the right board!!

The vision for Tri Shop Santa Cruz is to create an environment where athletes want to come to share their experiences, search for new products and to boldly train and compete in an event that had never been dreamed of before – which was (and is) Trudie’s dream.
